In the course of the raid, US authorities apprehended 475 workers, the majority of whom were South Korean nationals.

“This will lead to a delay of at least two to three months, as all these individuals wish to return home,” stated Hyundai CEO Jose Munoz. “Next, we must determine how to fill in these roles.”

A charter plane transporting the detained Koreans is anticipated to depart the US for South Korea on Thursday.

Hyundai Motor's stock increased by 1.1% on Thursday.
