Three months back, the ECB forecasted growth rates of 1.2%, 1%, and 1.3%, respectively.

Economic growth for 2028 is projected to be 1.4%.

Consumer prices are set to rise by 2.1% this year, as anticipated. The projection for 2026 has been adjusted upward to 1.9% from 1.7%, primarily because of a gentler decline in the pace of price increases in the services sector.

The ECB predicts inflation rates of 1.8% for 2027 and 2% for 2028.

Consumer prices excluding energy and food (core inflation) are projected to rise by 2.4% in 2025 (no change), by 2.2% next year (previously anticipated 1.9%), and by 1.9% in 2027 (1.8%). A 2% rise is anticipated for 2028.
