China sets to respond to license revocations in the U.S.

China will respond to the revocation of licenses from its telecommunications companies in the United States, Chinese authorities said.

Earlier, Washington had withdrawn licenses from China Pacific Networks, its subsidiary ComNet, as well as the U.S. unit of China Unicom, explaining it by national security concerns.

"China will continue to take necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies," reads a statement published on the official website of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
