According to the leader of the British trade union Elly Baker, workers are under constant pressure.
The announcement came after the article titled “Inside Amazon: Wrestling Big Ideas in a Bruising Workplace”, published August 16 in The New York Times. It told about the mistreatment of employees and the harsh working conditions at the headquarters of Amazon in Seattle. According to the authors, many workers have aquired serious diseases, including cancer.

Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos adressed the employees of the company in an open letter published in the New York Times the next day. There, he asked to report to the personnel department or to him personally about cases of abusive relationships described in the article.

-    It's hard physical work. Constantly stress occurs because of fear to show low levels of productivity. You cannot be a normal person in our company, you will always need to be a robot, above the average, "- wrote Bezos.

According to him, anyone, who is working in such a company as is described in the article, is crazy. "I know that I would have gone," - he concluded.
