According to reports, representatives from Toyota and Shanghai officials finalized a strategic partnership agreement during the Shanghai Auto Show 2025, an international automotive trade fair held in late April. The Japanese car manufacturer subsequently announced its intention to invest 14.6 billion yuan (more than $2 billion) in the development of the facility in Shanghai.
