Uniper to invest over €8B in green energy by 2030

Uniper, the German energy company, plans to invest over €8 billion in renewable energy by 2030.

The company announced in a statement that it would invest more than €8 billion in going green by the year 2030.

Uniper says that this represents an investment that is "three times the average annual investment over the last three years."

According to the company, it plans to increase the carbon-free nature of its power and gas operations is by using more "clean" gas overall.

German energy firm Uniper is engaged in power production, international energy trading, and a large portfolio of gas assets make up its core business, and is one of Europe's top gas businesses.
