US carry out over a thousand strikes in the first day of the operation against Iran

On the first day of the military operation targeting Iran, the U.S. forces conducted more than a thousand attacks on different locations within the country, as reported by the U.S. Central Command in the Middle East (CENTCOM).

The targets consisted of command and control centers, communication hubs, sites for ballistic and anti-ship missiles, air defense systems, and Iranian vessels including ships and submarines.

The operation included B-2A Spirit strategic stealth bombers, a variety of fighter jets deployed from regional bases and from the decks of two aircraft carriers, such as fifth-generation F-35 and F-22 stealth fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles, Patriot air defense missile systems, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense systems, guided missile destroyers, HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, and anti-drone systems.

In addition, the operation included the use of AWACS airborne early warning and control aircraft, RC-135 electronic reconnaissance aircraft, EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft, P-8 Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft, and communications relay aircraft.
