Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated regarding the country's nuclear facilities: “The destruction is extensive; they have been ruined. Certainly it is, as I mentioned, and we will repeat it if needed,” Trump posted on The Truth social platform.
The US President stated that CNN ought to “promptly dismiss their fraudulent reporter” and “issue an apology” to him and the pilots who “obliterated Iran's nuclear sites.” Previously, the Iranian Foreign Minister acknowledged in an interview with Fox News that the US strike had “severely damaged” Iran's nuclear facilities.
“The degree of the damage is presently being evaluated (...). However, to the best of my knowledge, they are extensively harmed,” he remarked.
On June 22, the U.S. targeted three nuclear facilities in Iran.
CNN subsequently reported that, based on an initial evaluation by the US Defense Intelligence Agency, the American airstrikes on Iran did not dismantle the core elements of the Iranian nuclear program. The New York Times reported that the attacks delayed Iran's nuclear program by less than six months.
