"We aimed to rethink the laptop considering contemporary needs and future ways of interacting with devices," he stated. "We chose to focus on the Android user community, which presented a real opportunity in the market."
Pre-orders for Google Books started on September 21. U.S. sales start on October 4, with launches in Canada, the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia occurring on October 5.
