At the beginning of the year, on January 13, the company announced recall of 696 thousand cars produced in 2018-2019 for some models of Lexus, Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra, Avalon and Corolla in the USA due to problems with the fuel pump. The company noted that it could fail, and this could lead to engine shutdown and increase the risk of an accident.
Now the number of recallable cars has been increased to 1.8 million units; the production of 2013-2017 was included in the total number, the release states.
