The British fintech firm revealed private customer information to an unapproved third party after getting fraudulent data requests originating from a government agency's email domain, according to reports.
The company confirmed that Revolut's systems and customer assets were not impacted. The email address was blocked upon detecting the scam, and the relevant government agency, law enforcement, and appropriate regulators were informed.
