This is a 15 million increase from the end of the previous year. According to Altindex experts, there will be more than 100 million cryptocurrency users by 2028, which is equivalent to one-third of all Americans.

Apart from the United States, Russia (33 million cryptocurrency users in 2024), Japan (23 million), the United Kingdom (20 million), and Germany (17 million) are the top five nations with the most cryptocurrency users, according to Altindex.

Over half of the $51 billion in income that the worldwide cryptocurrency sector is expected to produce in 2024 originates from the US, according to experts. In the United States, there were barely 5 million cryptocurrency users in 2017. The number of users grew seven times in the next four years, reaching 37 million in 2021. Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin are the most well-liked cryptocurrencies in the United States.
