Nike has held onto the top rank since 2015, when the initial study on the product category was published.

The brand, owned by the American manufacturer, is now worth $31.3 billion, down 5.6% from last year.

The second position was held by the French company Louis Vuitton, whose worth climbed by 12.2% to $26.29 billion from the previous year.

Another French luxury brand, Chanel, moved ahead of Gucci to claim the third spot on the list with a robust gain of 27% to $19.39 billion.

The rating's authors additionally highlighted the down clothing manufacturer Bosideng from China, which was successful in breaking into the European market and establishing itself there. Bosideng International aggressively collaborated with well-known designers this year, including French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, and the business's goods were showcased at prominent fashion shows.
