This long-term agreement will start being implemented later this year as rights become available in different regions. Netflix plans to have full global access to these films by early 2029.

In 2021, Netflix obtained the rights to stream Sony films in the United States, Germany, and Southeast Asia.

Under the new agreement, Netflix also gains the ability to license individual films and series from Sony’s catalog.

The specific terms and financial value of the new deal have not been officially shared. However, sources from Bloomberg indicate that the agreement is structured to cover the period up to and including 2032 and is estimated to be worth about $7 billion.
