Moody's cuts forecast for global GDP growth 2022-2023

Moody's cut their estimate for the growth of the world economy in 2022 and 2023.

The agency forecasts that the global GDP will increase by 2,5% in 2022 and by 2,1% in 2023. The organization expected earlier that the number will increase by 3.1% in 2022 and by 2.9% in 2023.

The projection for U.S. GDP growth was downgraded by Moody's from 2.8% to 1.9% in 2022 and from 2.9% to 1.1% in 2023. The eurozone's GDP would increase by 2.5% in 2022 and by 0.3% in 2023.

The growth of the Chinese economy has also been expected to slow, from 4.5% in 2022 to 3.5% and from 5.3% to 4.8% in 2023. Inflation in the United States might be 7% in 2022, compared to 3% in China.
