According to Bloomberg, which refers to estimates provided by the research firm Kpler, Iran has significantly increased the amount of oil it has loaded onto tankers departing from the Persian Gulf.

From February 15 to 20, a total of 20.1 million barrels were reportedly loaded. This amount is nearly three times greater than the volume shipped from January 15 to 20 and equals more than 3 million barrels per day, which is much higher than Iran's usual daily exports.

Experts mention that the rise in oil deliveries is happening at the same time as the US is increasing its military presence in the area and Donald Trump continues to make threats about using force against Iran. Some people think that the country, which relies heavily on oil exports for its income, is trying to quickly send the fuel to be exported and get tankers out of areas where there might be fighting.

Samir Madani, who co-founded TankerTrackers.com, a website that analyzes satellite imagery, said to Bloomberg that Iran has been loading "as much oil as possible" recently. He also mentioned that tankers will definitely spread out if there is a new round of airstrikes.
