According to a study published by US personnel site Glassdoor, 20 of the 25 US companies with the highest average salary are related to the tech industry. Glassdoor studies the median base salary in a company, as well as the median bonus, which includes all other benefits. The rating comprises only those companies which employees are informed about their salaries. Nevertheless, Glassdoor’s list shows that the first place is held not by a technology, but consulting company. This is A.T. Kearney, in which the median total remuneration can total $ 167.5 thousand. The rating included four companies not related to the technology sector: consulting company Strategy &, McKinsey & Company and the Boston Consulting Group, as well as the Visa payment system.
Juniper Networks has highest in the field of technology payouts ($ 157 thousand.). The rating also includes Google ($ 153,7 thousand.), Lab126 owned by Amazon ($ 150,1 thousand.), Facebook ($ 150 thousand.), Twitter ($ 150 thousand )., Walmart eCommerce ($ 149 thousand.), LinkedIn ($ 145 thousand.), Microsoft ($ 141 thousand.), Adobe ($ 140 thousand.). Glassdoor’s Chief Economist Andrew Chamberlain comments: "We continue to see unprecedented salaries in the field of technology, as the war for talent is still active primarily due to the continuing shortage of highly skilled workers."
Salaries in technology continue to grow. A year earlier Glassdoor issued a list of top 15 companies with the highest salaries. It also included a lot of technology companies, but the salaries there were lower. For example, the median total compensation at Google was $ 143.5 thousand.
