This role will be temporarily occupied by Chief Financial Officer Nik Jhangiani, who became part of the company in September 2024.

Previously, the Financial Times reported the shift in leadership at Diageo, referencing sources.

The alteration in leadership coincides with a decline in sales and a 43% fall in the company’s stock since Crew took over in June 2023. In February 2025, Diageo retracted its medium-term outlook, which anticipated a revenue increase of 5-7%, because of weak demand and potential import tariffs in the United States.

Diageo was formed in 1997 from the merger of Guinness and GrandMet, with its headquarters located in London. The firm's goods are available in around 180 nations globally, and Diageo has a workforce of more than 30,000 individuals.
