Total number of Futurewei’s employees is 850 people, its offices are located in the states of Texas, California and Washington.

The publication refers to its own sources. It notes that the exact number of those who may lose their jobs has not been specified yet.

In May, the United States put Huawei on the "black list" because, according to the American government, the company was collecting intelligence information for the Chinese government. As a result, activities of the Chinese company in the American market have been significantly restricted.

Huawei executives denied accusations that they had collected sensitive information at the request of the PRC government.

Founder and CEO of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, said in June that, according to forecasts, the company could cut sales by $ 30 billion over two years due to restrictions on the supply of components to American companies by US companies.

Фfter meeting with Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Japanese Osaka, US President Donald Trump announced that the ban on US companies to supply Huawei components was being lifted.

However, as Liang Hua, chairman of the board of directors of the Chinese company, said last Friday, the United States has not fulfilled Trump’s promise. "So far we haven’t seen tangible changes," he said at a press conference.
