“I give us a few months to accomplish a pan-European mobilization. We must not delay,” Macron said.

“We need to prohibit social media for individuals under 15,” he added regarding the killing of a female college staff member by a 14-year-old on June 10 in the Haute-Marne region.

Previously, French media announced the arrest of a minor who assaulted a 31-year-old teaching assistant with a knife during a search of students' bags. The woman succumbed to her injuries.

Macron also conveyed his desire to “strengthen regulations” regarding the sale of edged weapons. The president stated, “A teenager cannot possess a cold weapon on the street or at school: this falls under the responsibility of parents and vendors.”
