She put the amount at €50 billion. Von der Leyen announced her plan during the annual State of the European Union (EU) speech's plenary session.

She claims that such a degree of assistance will aid Ukraine in "rebuilding a modern and prosperous country" in the future. "We're looking forward. We have thus pledged €50 billion over the course of four years for investments and reforms," she said.

Mrs. von der Leyen emphasized the desire of Europe for a "just and sustainable peace" in Ukraine. She claimed that Kiev needed long-term security guarantees for this reason, and pleaded with European nations to boost their manufacture of armaments for Kiev.
