Borrell names deadline for agreement on Iran's nuclear program

"We are very close, but there are unresolved issues. I don't know when or how, but it's a matter of days," Borrell said at the Doha Forum international conference in Qatar.

Earlier, Enrique Mora, a senior European foreign policy official, said he would travel to Tehran on Saturday for talks on restoring the Iran nuclear deal.

The talks on the renewal of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and the lifting of U.S. sanctions against Iran are taking place in Vienna, with the eighth round starting on Dec. 27, 2021.
