US investment firm Blackstone is nearing the acquisition of MacLean Power Systems, a provider of power grid components, from Centerbridge Partners, according to Bloomberg, which references sources.

Sources indicate that the agreement might be revealed as soon as next week, with a valuation that could surpass $4 billion.

According to some sources, Blackstone surpassed other bidders for MacLean, including the Swedish-Swiss firm ABB, which chose not to increase its offer.

In 2022, Centerbridge obtained a controlling interest in MacLean for a sum that remains undisclosed.
