81% of the nation's electricity would come from clean sources by 2030, according to US President Joe Biden.
In a speech to commemorate the Inflation Reduction Act's anniversary, the president said that by 2030, renewable energy would contribute 81% of the electricity produced by the American energy system. The government offers considerable subsidies to producers of electric vehicles, batteries, and energy equipment as long as they are produced in the United States.
"We're improving the nation's energy security. China has controlled the clean energy supply chain for many years. We have permitted American manufacturing and employment to relocate abroad, but now we are bringing essential supply chains and technologies home to make electric cars, solar panels, wind turbines, and critical minerals."
