The TV station cited the draft directive: "Advertising relating to the commercialization or promotion of fossil fuels is outlawed as of Monday."

It should be highlighted that the ban covers all petroleum products as well as fuels created by the burning of coal and hydrogen that contains carbon.

Advertising for natural gas will be outlawed starting on June 30, 2023. This exception, as stated by the French Minister of Environmental Transformation, is necessary to adhere to European law, which stipulates that the regulated rate on the sale of gas expires on June 30, 2023.
