According to 2017 U.S. Mobile Apps Report, users spend 57% of the time in digital media in applications, of which 50% fall on smartphones and 7% - on tablets. Young users of 18-24 ages are particularly active – they spend 3.2 hours a day.

In this category, 70% is constantly looking for new applications. The same people are the most active buyers - 64% buy mobile software and 70% make purchases inside applications.

A total of five applications account for 90% of the time spent in mobile applications. As a result, all other services can claim no more than 1-2 percent of user time. More importantly, almost one half (49%) of mobile time is spent in just one application. The second application can claim an average of only 18% of the user's time.

More than a third of users aged 18 to 34 cannot live without Amazon. Gmail and Facebook are ranked second and third. Snapchat messenger, where the Facebook audience is flowing, is not among the most popular applications in this category.

Snapchat holds a strong position among young people under 24, and ranks sixth among users aged 25 to 34, following Instagram, but is not in the rating of applications for the audience over 35 years old. Instagram took the seventh position among the audience aged 35 to 54 years. YouTube and Facebook occupy top positions among all age groups.

The fifth line among the fastest growing services is taken by Letgo, a mobile platform for selling things, focused primarily on socially active young people and on selling goods to friends and those who live nearby. Since June 2015, the app’s monthly audience has grown by 1.224%.

Wish application, having showed a 171% increase in the audience, occupies the fourth place and has more than 10 million subscribers. The app created a database with thousands of photos of things. You can put the photos on lists, you can share with your loved ones, or simply store for yourself.

The third place is held by an application that does not need to be presented. This is Uber taxi service, where the number of users who use the service monthly has increased by 99% since 2015. The second place belongs to WhatsApp messenger, which added 91% to its monthly audience.

The first place in terms of the monthly audience growth is occupied by Waze - a free navigation application for mobile devices that allows you to track situation on the roads in real time, plan optimal routes, learn about location of speed radars, receive information and warn other users about changing road conditions, obstacles, police, as well as communicate with other users on the map.
