Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon returns to quarterly profit

German semiconductor producer Infineon Technologies AG announced a net profit and higher revenue for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2025, which ran from July to September.

During this quarter, the company's revenue rose by 1% compared to the same period last year, reaching €3.94 billion. The company's net profit was €231 million, a significant improvement from a loss of €84 million in the same quarter of the previous year.

According to Vara Research, analysts on average anticipated a net profit of €467 million alongside revenue of €3.91 billion.

The Segment Result, a key indicator of the company's performance similar to adjusted EBIT, dropped to €717 million from €832 million in the same quarter of the prior year. The profit margin on this measure also declined, falling from 21.2% to 18.2%.

Over the past fiscal year, total revenue decreased by 2% to €14.66 billion, while net profit declined by 22% to €1.01 billion.

Infineon expects a modest rise in revenue for the fiscal year 2026. The company's management proposed a dividend of €0.35 per share for the past fiscal year, matching the amount paid in the previous year.

Since the start of the year, Infineon's market value has grown by 7.9%, reaching €44.1 billion, while the DAX stock index has risen by 21% during the same time.
