Frontier is collaborating with the company's previously announced tools for developing AI agents, which makes it simpler for businesses to integrate various data sources that agents require to perform tasks, according to OpenAI. Agents will have the capability to gather information from different sources and carry out particular tasks, like handling files or executing program code.
Fidji Simo, who leads the applications division at OpenAI, referred to the agents as "AI peers" capable of working together with humans and being utilized in conjunction with agents developed by competing companies like Anthropic and Microsoft.
Frontier said that it equips agents with the same skills that people need to be successful, including clear permissions and boundaries.
By the end of this year, most of the digital tasks at top companies will be managed by humans and executed by groups of automated agents. Simo stated that this is already occurring in programming, and it will also take place in numerous other fields.
