This week, reports surfaced indicating that Nvidia is creating a new AI chip for the Chinese market, named the B30A, which surpasses the H20 that the company can send to China.

Huang, visiting Taiwan, informed reporters that the firm could send more sophisticated chips to China depending on the U.S. government's choice. “We are communicating with them. However, it's premature to discuss that at this moment,” he stated.

Last month, while in China, Nvidia's CEO expressed his desire for the company to deliver chips more advanced than the H20 to the nation.

The H20 chips designed for artificial intelligence applications were created by Nvidia exclusively for the Chinese market, considering the limitations earlier set by Washington on the provision of semiconductor parts to China. In April, US officials banned Nvidia from selling these chips to China without special permission, but in June they reversed their decision.

Last week, it was revealed that Chinese officials issued warnings to numerous companies advising them against using H20 chips. The most stringent guidelines pertain to the employment of processors for tasks related to government or national security, applicable to both state-owned companies and private firms.

On Friday, reports indicated that Nvidia instructed contractors to halt work concerning the production of H20.
