Microsoft Corp. intends to enhance its cloud and AI infrastructure within the European Union to guarantee "digital stability amid geopolitical volatility."

The firm plans to increase data center capacity in the EU by 40% within the next two years, as stated in its blog. Microsoft is enlarging data centers across 16 nations in Europe.

The company stated that “these plans, along with newly revealed measures, will more than double the capacity of our European data centers by 2027 compared to levels in 2023.” The overall count of Microsoft data centers in the area will exceed 200.

The company is currently collaborating with smaller European cloud providers while creating new technology and licensing solutions specifically designed for them and their respective markets.
