Microsoft introduces foldable Surface Duo smartphone

Microsoft held an annual presentation, where showed the new Surface Duo, which is an Android-based smartphone. The book-like device with two screens will be released in 2020.

Microsoft presented its new Android-based Surface Duo smartphone. The release is scheduled for 2020, but the exact date is still unknown, The Verge reports.

The main feature of the device is two 5.6-inch screens that may be folded in and out like a book. When open, the smartphone looks like a tablet with an 8.3-inch screen. In addition, the Surface Duo received a Snapdragon 855 processor.

Apart drom that, the company revealed new Windows 10X OS designed for multiple-screen-devices. The new OS will include all the necessary applications.

Another novelty was a tablet with the 13-inch diagonal and the Surface Pro X keyboard. In addition, Microsoft showed Surface Pro 7, a hybrid between a laptop and a tablet, furnished with an USB-C charging. The firm also presented the Surface Laptop 3 with an AMD processor and Surface Earbuds compact wireless headphones.
