Now Lufthansa Group customers can change their tickets several times free of charge, including tickets at the lowest price without paid baggage. The new measure takes effect immediately and applies to short, medium and long haul flights.

Recall that in June the European Commission approved a plan of state aid to Lufthansa for a total of € 9 billion. € 6 billion is allocated by the German government, and the airline took another € 3 billion as a loan from the state bank KfW.

State aid to Lufthansa was allocated on certain conditions: until the aid is returned, the airline will not be able to spend money on dividend payments, share buybacks, some acquisition options, etc. In addition, as part of the restructuring, Lufthansa earlier announced the reduction of leadership positions in its state by 20%, and the number of administrative positions - by 1,000. In addition, the Lufthansa Group will halve the cost of purchasing new aircraft.
