Leading US AI startups raise record $150 billion in 2025
The number surpasses the previous record of $92 billion, which was set in 2021.

The current year's total includes $41 billion in investments from OpenAI, $13 billion from Anthropic, and $14 billion from Meta.

Additionally, companies like Anysphere, Perplexity, and Thinking Machines Lab have received venture capital funding multiple times this year.

Experts in venture capital and the industry believe that the funds gathered will assist startup founders in shielding themselves from the current cooling investment environment, which is influenced by concerns over significant spending on AI infrastructure.

The Financial Times reports that some investors have suggested that startups should build up their financial reserves while there is still strong enthusiasm around AI's potential to bring about transformative changes.
