German Economy Minister Robert Habeck told reporters on Monday that the G7 countries refuse Russia's demand to pay for energy resources in rubles.

The document states that "the majority of respondents also support establishment of a central EU fiscal reserve, notably for macroeconomic stability."

There is currently a unified EU budget, which is primarily funded by payments from all EU member states. For 2022, its expenses are estimated to be around €170 billion, based on the European Union's total GDP of around €13.5 trillion. The budget funds various projects both inside and outside the EU.
