Large state-owned oil companies have sought permissions to export fuel in the upcoming month, as stated by them.

A spokesperson from a state-owned oil company told the newspaper that the Chinese leadership believes domestic fuel demand is stable, and the country is prepared to restart exports.

A source close to the export plans stated that Beijing aims to supply primarily jet fuel to Asian nations, where fuel reserves are currently at critically low levels, along with some quantities of gasoline and diesel fuel.

Chinese officials stopped the export of fuel early on during the Middle East conflict to ensure that the local market remained stable and secure.

According to Kpler, prior to the war, China exported nearly 800,000 barrels of petroleum products each day.  In April, this number dropped by approximately half.

China is the world's largest importer of oil and serves as a major supplier of diesel and jet fuel to countries such as Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and the Philippines.
