The firm created from the intended merger of his chemical and fertilizer firm, OCI Global, with his family's construction business, Orascom Construction, will concentrate on infrastructure investments in the United States.

“We aim to concentrate the next stage of our business on the sector where we perceive the most significant opportunity – infrastructure,” the billionaire told the FT.

The merged company is anticipated to gain, among other factors, from the significant increase in data center expenditures.

The company intends to deploy its own capital along with partner funds into American infrastructure in the coming ten years.
