Commerzbank expects to save up to €350 million annually with AI

Bettina Orlopp, CEO of the German bank, stated that implementing artificial intelligence will enable Commerzbank AG to save around €350 million each year.

She stated during her address at Wednesday's annual shareholder meeting that the bank intends to allocate €600 million towards AI by 2030.

The projected return on these investments is around €500 million each year, comprising 70% from cost savings, 20% from increased revenue, and 10% from reduced risks.

Orlopp mentioned that Commerzbank is currently saving more than €10 million each year due to AI technologies.
