Carlsberg's net profit decreases by 7% for the first half of the year

Net profit of the Carlsberg group of companies, one of the world's leading beer producers, attributable to shareholders in the first half of 2020 fell by 7.3% in annual terms and reached 2.855 billion Danish kroner (451 million dollars), follows from the company's financial statements.



Diluted earnings per share for the six months were 19.3 kronor ($ 3.05) versus a profit of 20.2 kronor ($ 3.19) a year earlier. Carlsberg's revenues for the half-year fell 12.6% year-on-year to CZK 28.83 billion ($ 4.6 billion). The organic decline in sales for the half-year was 11.6%, and in the second quarter - 14.6%.

Carlsberg A/S, a brewery founded in 1847 in Denmark, today occupies a leading position in the world beer market. Her portfolio includes about 140 brands, including Carlsberg, Tuborg, Kronenburg and others.
