CFO of Chinese Huawei leaves Canada after agreeing with prosecutors

Chinese Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou has flown home from Canada after being released from custody, local media reported.
Meng was released after striking a deal with US prosecutors the day before. She admitted concealing violations of sanctions against Iran in exchange for withdrawing her extradition request.

"The Air China plane with Meng Wanzhou on board took off from Vancouver airport," a journalist of the Canadian broadcaster CTV National News wrote on Twitter.

Meng Wanzhou, who is accused in the US of fraud related to breaching sanctions against Iran, was arrested in Canada at a US request in December 2018. She was later transferred to house arrest, with bail set at C$10 million, a commitment to wear a GPS bracelet and pay for her own security.
