The executive made this statement following the release of the company's financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026, which concluded on February 1.

In the last quarter, Broadcom's revenue from AI products more than doubled compared to the same period the previous year, reaching $8.4 billion. At the same time, the company's total sales rose by 29% to $19.3 billion.  Broadcom anticipates that revenue generated from the sale of AI semiconductor solutions will amount to $10.2 billion during the current quarter.

Hock Tan mentioned that the demand for AI chips is continuously increasing, and the company is not only boosting its production capabilities but also expanding its supply chain to enhance its distribution networks.

Experts forecast that global sales of AI chips in 2025 will reach around $150 billion, and the overall revenue of semiconductor companies will total $792 billion, representing a 25.6% increase compared to the previous year.
