According to Bloomberg, which cites sources, Apple Inc. and Google are in discussions about incorporating the Gemini artificial intelligence model inside the iPhone.

They state that there is active discussion between the two firms regarding the prospect of incorporating certain new capabilities into the revised iPhone software that will be launched later this year, using Google's Gemini.

According to the sources, earlier this year Apple had discussions about utilizing OpenAI's AI model, the ChatGPT.

Gemini would have access to billions of potential users through an agreement with Apple. The agency points out that negotiations between the two businesses also seem to indicate that Apple has not made as much far as anticipated in creating its own AI model. As previously reported, Apple began testing its own large language model (LLM) at the beginning of the previous year.

Experts also think that regulators may get interested in the two IT behemoths' cooperation.
