According to sources, Apple is working on modernizing Siri, giving the assistant a new look and feel similar to a chatbot. The new version of Siri is set to be introduced on June 8 during Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), along with the updates for iOS 27 and macOS 27.
The new version of Siri has the codename Campo. It will enable better control over iPhone and Mac functions, as well as the use of personal data—such as messages, notes, and emails—to fulfill requests. It can also do tasks inside apps, read news, and search the web using Apple's own interfaces and models.
The biggest change will be being able to talk to users in a more natural, chat-style way, either by typing or speaking. This change signifies a shift away from the current Siri format, which does not include a comprehensive conversational feature, as Gurman mentioned.
