As a result, the daily increase for the day was 4.2 percentage points, setting a new high since the end of May. In the meantime, the amount of wind energy produced in the EU was 10.33 percent last week and 11.23 percent in June.

The current levels are not out of the ordinary because regional norms range from 11 to 20 percent.

Fuel from Russia continues to be in short supply throughout Europe. On Friday, 64 million cubic meters of gas will be pushed via the Nord Stream pipeline, matching prior days, claims Nord Stream AG. This is almost 60% below the May level of almost 170 million cubic meters and corresponds to 40% of the pipeline's maximum capacity.
