According to the U.S. Treasury Department, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and her Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman will discuss India-U.S. cooperation in the G20, sustainability of supply chains, state of the world economy, and macroeconomic prospects. Yellen arrived in New Delhi on Friday morning.

The ninth edition of the India-US Economic and Financial Partnership Dialogue will be presided over by the ministers.

The government announced that Sitharaman and Yellen will also take part in a conference with top business executives and economists to discuss business and economic potential between the United States and India.

On the eve of the visit, Yellen stated that the United States thought a planned price restriction on Russian oil would "benefit" India. The chief of the U.S. Treasury is anticipated to talk about the conflict in Ukraine and India's purchase of oil from Russia during his visit to India.
