Dubai turned out to be the most expensive city in 2016. There, tourists spent $ 28.5 billion (spending increased by 10% for a year).

2. New York

The second place is taken by New York, where tourists left $ 17 billion (+ 1.5% compared to the previous year).

3. London

The capital of Great Britain closes the top-three of the leading cities for the maximum spending. Shopping was the main part of expenditures for tourists in the city. In general, London is known as an expensive city for travelers. In May, Deutsche Bank made a list of prices for romantic, but inexpensive meetings in 47 cities around the world. Spending a day together in London will cost $ 127.9.

4. Singapore

Mastercard’s experts calculated that tourists spent $ 15.7 billion in Singapore in 2016 (0.3%). For example, each traveler leaves an average of $ 96 per night in private accommodation in Singapore. On the other hand, those wishing to see the city can save on transport - this line of expenses accounts for only 4.6% of overall spending.

Foreign tourists spent $ 11.3 billion (+ 3.7%) in Tokyo. This is one of the fastest growing cities in terms of spending travelers in the world.
