12/18/2023 - 02:26

The Lufthansa Group stated that it plans to restart operating flights to Israel on January 8.

On October 9th, the flights were suspended due to an attack on Israel by militants from Hamas.

The group's airlines will run a total of 20 weekly flights to and from Tel Aviv during the first phase. From Tel Aviv, Lufthansa Airlines will run three weekly flights to Munich and four weekly flights to Frankfurt. While SWISS will run five weekly flights from Tel Aviv to Zurich, Austrian Airlines aims to operate eight weekly flights to Vienna.

As a result, the businesses will start up again on these destinations at roughly one-third of their typical pace. Bookings for tickets and departure times will be accessible starting on Monday, December 18.

Lufthansa was one of the first airlines to announce the cancellation of flights to Israel.
