Elon Musk's SpaceX has sent thousands of satellite Internet dishes Starlink to Ukraine. This was reported to CNBC by President of the private space company Gwynne Shotwell. According to her, the deliveries were financed by private sources and possibly France and Poland.

SpaceX President added that most of the funding for the Starlink Internet receiving kits came from private sources. She suggested that France and Poland might also have helped with the funding, but not the U.S.

Starlink satellite kits include the dish antenna itself, a tripod for mounting it and a Wi-Fi router. With such a kit users can directly connect to the Internet, which is distributed by the SpaceX satellite fleet: the company has launched about 2,000 satellites under the Internet project. Musk began sending Starlink terminals to Ukraine immediately after Ukrainian Digital Communications Minister Mikhail Fedorov asked him for help.
