EU leaders reach agreement on combating energy crisis

Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, stated that the leaders of the European Union endorsed the proposal of requiring mandatory cooperative gas purchase for the union at the summit.

She stated during a news conference that "the leaders were highly supportive of the notion of allowing corporations to make joint purchases, to create a consortium."
