Bloomberg will close its WhatsApp news channel on December 7th. Instead, the agency’s publications will appear on Telegram. Bloomberg explained the decision by saying that Facebook, owner of WhatsApp, has changed the messaging order.

On December 7, Bloomberg will close the news channel in the WhatsApp messenger and start publishing its texts on Telegram instead. The agency wrote about this on WhatsApp and on its website.

Bloomberg is abandoning WhatsApp due to changes in the way of sending messages, the agency said. It did not specify what specifically it meant.

The publication promised that it would publish in Telegram about three messages a day, including news, short retelling of large texts and analytical texts from correspondents. The new channel in Telegram has already received a verification badge from the service’s administration. At the time of publication, there were already more than 4,000 subscribers. So far, there are no messages except the greeting.

In addition, Bloomberg is available on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the Line messenger, as well as in the form of an e-mail newsletter.
