Bloomberg’s source report that Elon Musk's SpaceX is offering private investors shares of the company for $77 each. As a result, SpaceX is now the most valuable private corporation in the United States with a valuation of $140 billion.

According to the agency’s interlocutors, managers of SpaceX had been debating several prices for the securities in recent weeks but had ultimately decided on valuing the company at $140 billion for a tender offer. Based on that valuation, it's difficult to predict whether the business would look to raise money in an initial investment round, according to Bloomberg.

SpaceX's valuation quadrupled in three years and reached a high of $127 billion in the May 2022 funding round.

Elon Musk, the billionaire and the second-richest person in the world according to Forbes Real-Time, owns roughly 44% of the company's shares.
